Eligibility

- Non-EU/EEA/Swiss national aged 18 or over
- Work performed for employers or clients based outside Malta
- Remote worker with an employment contract, freelancer with foreign clients, or owner of a company registered abroad
- Clean criminal record

Income Requirements
Financial Threshold
Minimum gross annual income of โฌ42,000 (approximately โฌ3,500/month), plus an additional 20% of Malta's median wage per accompanying dependent. Proof of funds covering at least 5 months (~โฌ17,500). Optional flat 10% tax rate on qualifying remote-work income for those who become Maltese tax residents.
